I Have Pain In My Back and Leg… Is This Sciatica?!

The term Sciatica is more of the description of numbness, tingling, burning and/or weakness which may present itself down your leg. It’s even more important to understand that you have to tackle the underlying cause in order to start feeling better. 

There is no one size fits all solution to alleviating sciatica pain because everybody is different. Irritation of the nerve can actually happen at a number of places. Some of the most common contributors are a bulging disc, rubbings of the joints of your spine and even pinching amongst all of the muscles of your hip. 

Before you can start alleviating your pain, a thorough assessment is needed to find out where it is actually coming from. This is important because if all we examine is your back without taking into consideration many of the areas above and below, there is a good chance that something will be missed. If all we do is target your back where the sciatic nerve is actually pinching in your hip, we are not getting the root of the problem.
